How do I transfer my pet’s records to your clinic?
You can call your previous veterinary clinic and request that your pet’s records be sent via email (which is preferred) at info@odenveterinary.com or fax at (806) 993-4445. You are welcome to bring a copy of your pet’s records to us in person as well.

I found a stray. What should I do?
Check for any collars or tags. If none are present, you can bring them to our clinic (or most other clinics) to check for a microchip. If a microchip is not found, we recommend keeping the pet in a safe area while you look for the owner. Search for lost and found posters in the area that you found the pet. You can also look online at lubbocklostpets.org, pawboost.com, the Lubbock Animal Shelter, or the Facebook group: Lost and Found Pets of Lubbock.

Do I have to keep my pet on flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention all year?
Yes. Mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks are present year-round in our area. Heartworm incidences in Texas are still very high, making year-round heartworm prevention paramount.

Do you have to have an appointment?
We see pets by appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but we kindly ask that you wait until we have the time available to see you and your pet. Emergencies will take priority but our staff appreciates a phone call ahead of time so that they are prepared.

Do you see exotics such as reptiles, pocket pets, etc?
Yes! Our clinic will see rodents, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians and birds. We do not provide care for venomous pets.

Do you board or groom pets?
We do not provide boarding or grooming at our clinic.
